The site of Dunbennan Old Church is a short distance west of Huntly, set amongst open farmland and close to a large range of farm buildings.
A later rectangular graveyard was built around the church and this has well-built boundary walls with railings, and there are several large yew and beech trees throughout the graveyard. Dunbennan Old Church is located at the end of a track from the A Huntly to Dufftown road, and approximately miles from Huntly Cemetery.
